I made sure that the recipe simmered for a while before I used the stew meat as the simmering helps tenderize the tougher cuts of meat. When I floured the meat, I added just a petty onion powder, garlic powder and fresh ground pepper. I made no other changes. Mine was done simmering at merely under two hours. I served this over hot buttered egg noodles. My family INHALED this. Out of the whole skillet, there was a minor amount for my hubby to accept for work the next 24-hour interval. Delicious!

This is absolutely succulent. I fabricated this exactly as directed and got a dish that was creamy, rich with season and hearty. My son liked it a lot and he is non a beef fan. I but had ground beef on hand but it worked just fine following the aforementioned directions. I sprinkled the flour & salt mixture over the ground beef before placing it in the pan. Very succulent and easy to follow instructions! This was my first time making Beef Stroganoff; I came to allrecipes.com looking for something my friend described equally having made and I chose this i because information technology uses the same ingredients. This was one of the best stroganoff recipes I've ever tried. I just shared some leftovers with a coworker and she agreed. I did add some balsamic vinegar to the stock mixture and I added more the chosen for beefiness stock as the roux was too thick without information technology. Very, very tasty!

And yes, I made this in the crockpot.....used some marsala wine since I had no white wine, and at the end of boring cooking for about 9-10 hours, added 4 oz. of depression fat cream cheese and 1c of low fat sour foam, thick, flossy and delicious! Husband loves Beefiness Stroganoff and so I've been making it for him for many years e'er trying a different recipe. Finally, this is the keeper for beef stroganoff!! Yeaaaaa. Actually awesome season. I served over orzo and cutting the recipe in one-half and then I eyed a lot of the amounts and it still turned out yumeee!! endeavour IT you won't exist dissapointed. Great recipe. I recommend de-glazing the pan with the white wine and increasing the amount of beef stock.Any cut of beef can exist used, increase cooking times for 'tougher' cuts. Philly cheese is a swell substitute for sour cream. Serve with fresh parsley and egg noodles. I accept made this recipe many times, its a house family favorite

This was very like shooting fish in a barrel and very expert. I used all the ingredients with the exception of leaving out the mushrooms since I didn't accept whatever. After sautéing the beef and onions I put everything in a slow cooker for nigh 3 hours and added the sour cream at the end. It was a good comfort food dinner.

I tripled the flour and salt in the showtime step to properly coat the meat and that left the drippings quite thick so I doubled the butter for both steps and also doubled the mushrooms. I ran out of wine so I used more beefiness stock instead. Also merely let it cook for a footling over an hour. It needed quite a bit of pepper at the cease but the result was fantastic. This dish was incredible. I hate to sound besides "Food Network-y", but the sauce had an unexpected depth of season--so rich and succulent. Sadly, there were no leftovers. Even though in that location are only 3 of us, each of us went back for seconds. ***** Note: I didn't accept tomato paste, so I substituted 5-Tbsp. lycopersicon esculentum sauce. I used Sauvignon Blanc, and I used it to deglaze the pan rather than later in the recipe. I used a "good for you" bowtie pasta, but I think I'll use unhealthy egg noodles next time. :-D

This was very good. I fabricated it the night before (except for the sour cream and wine). The next day, I heated through with any extra ane/four to 1/two cup h2o. Then I added the wine. This was only delicious, the only thing I changed was as previous rated was the placement of the vino and addition of a tablespoon of Worcestershire. I deglazed the pan after cooking the meat, I could yet taste the back drop of the wine and believe if added in the end would be way to strong of the wine sense of taste. If you don't like the taste of wine I would even go out it out all together, but it did give a zing to the sauce. All in all it was very rich and tasty. Because the meat was already cooked, I threw it into the pan with the mushrooms and onion when those were nearly done. I just simmered for a half-hr and meat was incredibly tender. I cooked this a niggling differently from the author. I browned the meat in iii tbs. butter then put the meat in the slow cooker; cooked the mushrooms separately in iii tbsp. butter until they were brown (near 5/6 minutes) put on top of the meat in slow cooker. Used large can of little onions, drained and into the slow cooker. And then I fabricated the sauce separately as directed and dumped in irksome cooker. Slow cooker on low five hours. This is so simple but yummy. I did add some spices to the flour before coating the meat paprika, onion powder, garlic pulverisation (omitted the fresh garlic) and the common salt and black pepper. Afterwards browning the meat and sautéing the onion I put those into a lined crock pot then cooked the flour I used the flour left over from dredging and deglazed the skillet with scarlet wine and added the broth. Didn't accept lycopersicon esculentum paste so I used ketchup instead. Added it to the crock pot and cooked on low for 2 1/2 hours. It turned out delicious! Give thanks you!

I was looking for something to prepare with ingredients that I had on paw. I had one pound of hamburger meat that I wanted to utilise upwards so that was my main ingredient. I followed the directions the aforementioned as if making with the sirloin. I wasn't sure most sauteing the fresh mushrooms with the meat, merely information technology turned out fine. This was really good. I added the wine early on like many of the other reviewers and also added a touch of Penzey'southward Bavarian Seasoning to give it just a little richer flavor. This spice blend includes crushed brown mustard, rosemary, garlic, thyme, bay leaf and sage.

As I did not have a total cup of sour foam and then I topped up the loving cup with plainly Greek yogurt. Also did not add together the white wine. The sauce was dainty and thick, The meat very tender as I had let it simmer two ane/2 hours. I did add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika for a little zip. Husband said it was very tasty. I would brand this again without a doubt.

Excellent flavor. I used beefiness stew meat, as I had it on hand and canned mushrooms (again, had them on hand). I only simmered for an hour, as I cooked the meat through during browning. I kept tasting it through the unabridged cooking process and by the time the meal actually came together I was full! I will be making this again. Very expert.

This was amazing! The only "tweaks" I made was to use basis beef (because it needed to be used) and chicken broth with a couple of teaspoons of beef bullion granules. Succulent and simple! This recipe is.a keeper.

Excellent recipe! You don't have to change a thing. I didn't have white wine so I did a substitute of 1 cup beef stock and 2 TBSP flour. Wisk the 2 together nicely( then pour into the beef and veggies while simmering. Then I added the sour foam but earlier serving.

This was easy and delicious. I used white balsamic vinegar in place of the wine, which added a nice flavor, and is of course made with wine, but I but used a practiced couple of splashes, and did this before the simmer, not after. I added water every now so as needed. I only simmered for an hour, but it was sirloin, and very tender. I only had canned mushrooms so that's what I used, simply fresh would have been better. I will definitely make this again.

Lovely recipe! The tomato paste browns the sauce, nicely. Don't be afraid of the sauce browning/sticking to the bottom of the pan. It de-glazes perfectly when you add the sour cream and white wine. Proffer: apply two large portabella mushroom caps chopped into one in pieces. They will concord upwardly better for extended cooking. Simple and succulent!This recipe is great and it came out wonderful. I was thinking that for adjacent fourth dimension to add reddish wine instead of white, and possibly a little balsamic vinegar as someone else suggested. I served it over aborrio rice and it was simply perfect on a cold day. My family unit was not impressed. I think they are used to the traditional white sauce version that I usually make.

This sauce was skilful, just needed a little more seasoning. I didn't accept mushrooms and substituted shredded carrots. The carrots were practiced, but I think I'd add together mushrooms and carrots next fourth dimension. This was overall a groovy recipe that I volition fabricated again with footling tweaks.

Fabricated every bit directed except doubled the mushrooms and I experience 2 hours is too long to cook flavors were good meat was dry, however tender just dry out. Thank you for the recipe, will brand again volition shorten melt time to 30 minutes.
